Happy New Year!

Welcome back! I hope you had a wonderful winter break with your preschooler! There were a lot of environmental changes that happened over the course of thirteen days. There was snow, sleet, rain, it got a lot COLDER, and now it really is WINTER!!!

Now that it is “officially” winter, I wanted to remind all the preschool families that we do go outside everyday unless it’s raining, sleeting, freezing temperatures, or high winds in the winter time. PLEASE make sure your child comes to school everyday with boots, A CHANGE OF SHOES or SLIPPERS to put on once in the classroom, gloves/mittens, hat, scarf, warm coat, etc… If there is lots of snow on the ground, and you would like for your child to play in the snow while we are outside, you can have them wear their snowpants as well. Oh what fun we will have putting on our winter wear!!! Don’t forget to label their items!!! 40 preschoolers times 8+ items each is a lot of keep track of.

Miss Hopkins and Hoppy are very busy getting things in order for the new year! They have been planning and working on our upcoming transportation unit! Hoppy over winter break has been on MANY different moads of transportation. Two planes, a golf cart, car, bicycle, sled, Miss Hopkins’ luggage, and who knows what else before next Monday! The two of them are finishing up their pre-planned family holiday trip that was booked back in August (before the board changed our winter break!) We will see you on Monday, January 7th! Until then, Miss Santiago and our substitute will be at school greeting the children on Thursday and Friday.
