Read for the Record: Bunny Cakes

On Tuesday, October 21st our preschoolers at Peirce joined millions of other children across the country in Jump Start’s “Read for the Record Day”. This year’s story was “Bunny Cakes” written by Rosemary Wells. It is a sweet story about siblings, sharing ideas, and thoughtfulness.

We always like to make a big deal about this day because it is something to be proud of! Each child received their own copy of the book “Bunny Cakes” from the Office of Early Childhood and it should be kept at home. No need to return it! It’s yours to keep. We also had special learning centers for the day that included a Grocery Store, Bunny Ears Station, Birthday Cake Design Station, and a “Clip, Snip, and Shop” Station where they created their own shopping list using grocery picture adds!

Enjoy the pictures of the children having great fun! Finally, a BIG thank you to our morning moms for joining us in the fun and helping to make the morning centers run smoothly! We appreciate your help!
