Attention NEW Preschool Families!

It has been brought to our attention that SMART Tuition has not contacted any of you for how to enroll and set up your family profile online.

We have been notified that The Office of Early Childhood has NOT sent out the letters to parents or each school. Due to this, they told us to inform parents to NOT worry about enrolling with the tuition program until AFTER the start of school. Hopefully we will be given more information in the coming weeks to resolve any issues. We thank you for your continued patience and flexibility with these new procedures.

As a reminder, the new sliding scale tuition ONLY affects NEW preschool families. Any preschool child that was enrolled in the 2012-2013 school year is NOT affected.

Here is a little preview of some pretty amazing kids who LOVE their dad’s, and important men in their life! They have been working very hard on their Father’s Day Gifts for the special men in their life! The children will bring home their gifts this Friday!

Had to share with all of you this great idea I saw on Pintrest last night! 

Have you wondered what on Earth you are going to do with all your preschooler’s paintings and drawings this year? Well, I found the solution for you!!! This pictures below shows what one mom did! She took digital pictures or scanned some of them and placed them on her computer. This mom cropped and made the pictures clearly smaller and then printed them out on high quality paper. She then bought a few collage frames to display the art work. What an awesome idea!!! It would be neat to have one of these for each year your child is in school. Maybe pick out 12 favorite pictures from the year and scan those? This idea was just too good not to share with all of you!!! 

Attention Preschool Families in Room 121!!!

Our annual preschool picnic has been set for Wednesday, June 12th from 8:00-10:40 a.m. 

We hope that you’ll be able to join us with your child for a fun morning of games, face painting, and a picnic lunch! This year everyone should bring their own bagged lunches, and also a blanket to sit on with your family! 

We will need candy and mini prizes for our pinata, and also some parent volunteers to help fill up water balloons the night before! More information will be given out after Memorial Day weekend!!! 

Our picnic is rain or shine, and both AM and PM families come in the morning! We are looking forward to a great morning!!!

We are about $200 away from getting our grant funded for a new sand and water table! A big thank you to all the of families that have sent in beautiful notes and cards this week in honor of teacher appreciation week. I am very blessed to have such kind and supportive parents and students. I love each and every one of my students, and take great pride in the learning that occurs in our room through play and exploration! My two classes this year have been marvelous, and I cannot wait to share with you all of their work in June. You will be BLOWN away by what your child has accomplished this year!!! 🙂 

Our trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo was rooooaring great fun! Thank you to all the parents and grandparents too who came out to join in the fun!!! I really appreciate all your help! It was so awesome to watch the world through the kiddos last Thursday! The children were so observant and asked a lot of great questions. I am so proud of the little learners they have become!
