Family communication is a big part of building our classroom community. We value each child’s caregivers as equal partners in their education. We hope that you will respect and honor our expertise as well.
How will caregiver/teacher communication work in our preschool classroom?
- Week-in-Review Emails—Caregivers can sign up to receive weekly emails on Fridays or Sundays. Typically, Mrs. Gabelman will wait to send them on Sunday mornings in case there is schoolwide news we need to inform you about. In the week-in-review email, we will share what we accomplished the week prior and our goals for the upcoming week. We also try to put weekly picture videos together to share the hard work your child puts into their learning through play.
- Phone Calls or In-Person Check-Ins—If we have a celebration or concern to share with you, we will always try to tell you in person or by phone. If we cannot reach you in those two ways, we will email you to follow up with us in person as soon as possible.
- Parent/Teacher Conferences-
- Fall Conference- Monday, November 4th, 2024 (Sign-ups will occur two weeks prior).
- Spring Student-Led Conference- Tuesday, April 1, 2025 (Sign-ups will occur two weeks prior).
